Managing Director

Jonathan Finnerty

Jonathan co-founded Green Unit in 2012 with a vision of tackling the challenges of climate change through innovation and creative thinking. Jonathan has always been committed to ensuring that ARC buildings are ultra-low carbon, and he now looks forward to achieving net-zero carbon status latest by 2025.

Jonathan is involved in environmental initiatives in his Oxford community such as bringing a community-based EV charging infrastructure to his neighbourhood, and the installation of solar panels on municipal and school buildings.

Head of Design

Ben Williams

Ben is a RIBA qualified Architect. He joined Green Unit in 2018 following 17 years working in architectural practices in London. Ben heads up the design work for all of Green Unit’s client projects and regularly looks at ways to innovate the ARC modular system to further lower its embodied carbon and improve its operational performance.

Ben plays an active role in his local Oxfordshire community and has volunteered on several environmental campaigns such as clean-ups along the River Thames.

Financial Controller

Will Marr

As a qualified Chartered Accountant, Will brings to Green Unit over 25 years of accountancy experience, mainly from the manufacturing sector. As financial controller, Will is responsible for Green Unit’s day to day financial management and control.

Will loves spending weekends rock-climbing, walking, or mountain biking – he even used to be an avid fell runner. When he’s not in the great outdoors, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Production Manager

Mark James

Mark joined Green Unit in 2020 as Production Manager, bringing varied experiences from production line and operation management roles in medical and automotive sectors, to years spent in the British army and subsequently as a qualified electrician. Since joining Green Unit, Mark has managed the company’s complex new factory fit-out alongside managing ARC build projects.

Mark loves weight training to keep fit, as well as spending weekends with his grandkids.

Marketing Manager

Luci Appelbe

Luci joined Green Unit in early 2019 following years in agency marketing for clients. She now looks after the company’s marketing and sales, as well as playing a role in its sustainability plan. She’s currently an Affiliate Studying member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Luci loves learning about different aspects of sustainability and is currently planning her own eco-build at home.

Foreman

Ben Morris

As Foreman, Ben has led the offsite build for many of Green Unit’s clients, including NHS Trusts, businesses, and private individuals. He loves finding creative solutions to problems and is a pro on a forklift.

When he’s not in the factory, Ben loves spending time with his twin daughters and Collies, or in the gym.
